The Tap Room hosts several events throughout the year

Join Us at the 1869 Tap Room

The 1869 Tap Room was opened to the public on Homecoming weekend in the fall of 2016, on the lower level of the Purdue Memorial Union. What started out as a space to be used only during football weekends has grown to an operation that is currently open six days a week and gives students a place to unwind and hang out with friends while enjoying the unique pub style bar with food options from Pappy’s Sweet Shop next door. The 1869 Tap Room is now open 4 hours before every home football game! Please click to see all of the Tap Room's Hours of Operation.

As a student focused operation, the Tap Room is operated by students with PMU oversight. They place a high emphasis on educating staff and customers on the different processes involved in creating the products that are served. Featuring local Indiana breweries, the Tap Room is one of the few places that you can find Purdue’s official beers, Boiler Gold and Boiler Black, on tap year-round. The Tap Room also offers non-alcoholic beverages, such as kombucha for customers of all ages to enjoy.
