In 1922, the first shovelful of earth was moved for the construction of the Purdue Memorial Union.
One hundred years later, the PMU Ground Floor has reopened as the Atlas Family Marketplace to showcase the most transformative, groundbreaking renovation in its history – and we invite YOU to be a part of it.
The Purdue Memorial Union has long been the home of innovative gathering spaces, programming and dining options. Now, the Union is ready for your return, updated to serve modern needs while retaining traditional and historical elements generations of Boilermakers have enjoyed. These groundbreaking renovations will ensure the PMU remains a campus icon for generations to come.
The Union is ready to be the cornerstone of campus once again. Make sure that your plans include a stop to find out what the next 100 Years of Groundbreaking have in store.
There’s always something happening at the Purdue Memorial Union. See and be seen at one of the four performance stages that create space for comedy, live music and expert speakers.
Eleven new dining venues feature comfort food and craveable flavors from around the world. Options are available for most diets. An upgraded convenience store stocks the essentials for quick trips.
The new PMU is simple to navigate thanks to clear signage and improved, accessible pathways for circulation.
Gender neutral restrooms and a lactation room have been added as well as multiple collaboration areas with enhanced technology.
